AIRHAWK next to Biker’s Choice and Teutel Jr’s new bike

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

sturgis_parkingYou don’t have to be a motorcycle enthusiast to know about the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This year’s rally marks the 70th anniversary of the event held August 9-15, with pre-rally events beginning on the 6th. The events won’t fall short for the anniversary, whether it’s the Guitar Hero contest, the World Pickle Lickin’ Federations World Championships, the Miss Buffalo Chip Beauty Pageant or the extreme motorcycle stunts.

AIRHAWK will be next to Biker’s Choice where Paul Teutul Jr. will debut the first bike from the new TLC series American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior. Biker’s Choice and AIRHAWK will both be in front of J&P Cycles (1650 Lazelle Street). After you check out the new bike, stop by the AIRHAWK booth.

As a part of AIRHAWK’s 14th year at Sturgis, KSQY radio station will also be broadcasting live from the AIRHAWK tent. There will also be a sneak peak of the AIRHAWK R™ made of neoprene rubber and features a new ergonomic design. The original AIRHAWK neoprene cushion comes in five different sizes that come with a 2-year warranty and are backed with a 60-day “You Bet Your Ass 60-day “You Bet Your AssSM” money-back guarantee. AIRHAWK2 comes in 3 sizes with a 1-year limited warranty and the same money-back guarantee.

How did this legendary event begin? The Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club began back in 1936. In 1938, the original line-up only included nine racers for a one-day event. In 1963 the event became a multi-day event. More than 400,000 people attended the rally in 2008 and 66 marriage licenses were issued and it had sales of 10.45 million.

Remember to use your AIRHAWK cushion to save your butt on the way to Sturgis. Stop by the AIRHAWK booth to test out the products. You can also visit the AIRHAWK Facebook page to see the latest updates. Follow our check-ins on Foursquare to know our latest location.

May is “Motorcycle Awareness Month”

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has declared May as “Motorcycle Awareness Month” in an effort to increase awareness for non-motorcycle drivers. Many organizations and state governments have created commercials, videos, used social media and other materials to spread the word about motorcycle safety. Browse through a few of the campaigns that we found and let us know what you think.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has several resources available on their Web site including flyers and posters, new releases, a fact sheet and more.

On May 23, more than 200 motorcyclists wearing neon shirts came together in Austin, TX at the Barton Creek Square Mall to spread awareness. Texas Department of Transportation has also created their own campaign.

Here is a video from the Motorcycle Safety Awareness Foundation.

Missouri produced a series of TV and radio commercials along with flyers that featured the Mizzou Football coach, Gary Pinkel. California also created awareness.

What did your state do? Do you think the campaigns across the county helped to raise awareness?

AIRHAWK Hopes to See You at Daytona Beach Bike Week

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Grab your leather and rev your engines… It’s Daytona Beach Bike Week!  Between February 26 and March 7, over 500,000 motorcycle enthusiasts will ride to Daytona Beach, Florida for one of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the US. During this 10-day event, bikers can participate in tons of spirited events such as motorcycle racing, street festivities, and concerts, including a Led Zeppelin Tribute Band.

Bike Week has been a tradition since the inaugural running of the Daytona 200 in 1937. The warm weather and hard sand beaches is what originally brought racers to Daytona, but it is the festive activities and the long standing traditions that keeps motorcycle enthusiasts coming back year after year.

In 2010, AIRHAWK will have a tent located on the J&P Cycles Destination Daytona location. Here you will find your favorite AIRHAWK gear and receive a free t-shirt with every AIRHAWK purchase (while supplies last). Other vendors will be located on Main Street, Beach Street, Ballough Road, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, and Holly Hill. For a full listing of vending locations and information about Daytona Beach Bike Week, please visit the Official Bike Week Website. Hope to see you there!

Sturgis 2009: Where to Check Out AIRHAWK

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

If you’re like most of us, you’ve booked a room, mapped your route and you’re counting the days until Sturgis:

August 2 through the August 8th

For the 12th consecutive year, The ROHO Group will be exhibiting the stated of the art AIRHAWK®  motorcycle seat cushion at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Stop by booth number 100-101 of the Motorcycle Expo/Community Center at 1401 Lazelle Street in Sturgis, SD to check us out. We’ll be around each day from 9 am – 6 pm. And, on Saturday, we’ll close shop at 5 pm.

But, if you arrived in Sturgis without an AIRHAWK, you’ll want to stop by the Black Hills Harley Davidson to purchase your own AIRHAWK motorcycle cushion.  To learn how-to select the right sized seat, our factory representatives will be at J & P Cycles on Lazelle Street.

Be sure to tune your radio dial to 95.1 KSKY radio to hear our live remotes of where to find us and why the AIRHAWK seat cushion is backed by 60-day “You Bet Your Ass™” money-back guarantee and a 2-year limited warranty on workmanship. In the meantime, if you have an AIRHAWK, don’t forget to slap that baby on your bike.

…See ya in Sturgis.
